Vice President Of Finance

Job Title: Vice President of Finance Location: Cromwell, CT Organization: Non-Profit Pay: 120,000 to 140,000 Position Overview: The Vice President of Finance will play a critical role in the strategic management and oversight of the financial operations of this Non-Profit. This position is responsible for ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization, providing leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. The VP of Finance will work closely with the executive team and the Board of Directors to support the organization's mission and goals. Key Responsibilities: Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's mission and long-term goals. Lead the annual budgeting process, including forecasting and financial modeling. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the executive team and Board of Directors. Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Manage cash flow and investment strategies to optimize financial performance. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the executive team and Board of Directors. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Ensure transparency and accountability in all financial matters. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide training and development opportunities for finance staff. Collaborate with other departments to support organizational initiatives and projects. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets. Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the non-profit sector or healthcare. Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting principles and financial regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies. High level of integrity and commitment to the organization's mission.
