May select, mount, and align various specialized machine attachments and standard or improvised tooling, plan sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; determine, set, and adjust speeds, feeds, and depth of cut. Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications. Uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Makes standard shop computations; and measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.EOEADA#clearanceIND123
