Hybrid Junior Accountant (1 day Onsite NYC)

Position : Junior Accountant (Contract-to-Hire) Location : Midtown, Manhattan (1 day onsite, 4 days remote) Pay Rate : $30/hr (When Converted to Permanent: $55k base) Overview : Our client, a large Manhattan-based non-profit, seeks a Junior Accountant to support monthly close activities, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. Key Responsibilities : Prepare monthly cash rent receipts schedules and percentage analyses. Compile financial statements, balance sheet, and income statement reports. Conduct month-end close, quarterly and annual audits, and budget preparation. Reconcile bank accounts, process payments, and record journal entries. Maintain and clean up general ledger records. Requirements : Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of accounting experience, including month-end close.
