The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for targeting, pursuing and closing new plans in the small to mid-market size for Empower's Tax-Exempt Markets, resulting in additional revenue. This role needs to understand the full product and service offering of Empower and tailor such to the client. Extensive relationship building and navigation of the advisor marketplace are key aspects of the role. There is also an expectation that the RSD will transition these relationships to a Relationship Manager once the plan is successfully closed and implemented. Location may be anywhere in Pennsylvania or Ohio where there is a major airport nearby. This position will work with advisors/consultants primarily in Pennsylvania and Ohio but may occasionally cover other states. What you will do Responsible for revenue growth through new Plan Sponsor sales in assigned territory through intermediaries Plan, develop, present, negotiate and close highly effective retirement solutions to prospective Plan Sponsors and/or Pension Consultants/Advisors Identify and build relationships with potential key stakeholders/decision makers at the plan level(sponsor and/or advisor) Assemble and direct the team in the development of the RFP (Request For Proposal), the site visit, the finals presentation, and contract close Effectively transition new stakeholder relationships to the field and Relationship Managers Review and update intelligence on plan opportunities within assigned territory What you will bring Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred 5 years' experience in the financial services industry Excellent oral and written communication skills are required FINRA Series 6, 63 and 26 licenses or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire FINRA fingerprinting upon hire Ability to travel the majority of the time, including overnight travel What will set you apart Previous management and retirement wholesaling experience Knowledge of 457 plans Strong network of financial advisor relationships ***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPT.*** What we offer you We offer an array of diverse and inclusive benefits regardless of where you are in your career. Base Salary Range $75,000.00 - $97,500.00 The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
