We are currently looking to hire a Senior Manager, of Sourcing and Design based in White Plains, NY, Louisville, CO or REMOTE! This position works within Danone North America's Quality & Food Safety Department and with Danone's global organization to ensure Quality and Food Safety compliance of products being manufactured internationally which are imported and sold in the United States and Canada. Other responsibilities include partnering with Danone colleagues to improve plant QFS performance and quality improvement of finished products, enhance the local quality management system, and be the primary QFS contact for Nutricia Nutrition Services and Sales to assist with questions and inquires. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: QFS lead for assigned NORAM CBU projects. Consult with global QFS QID to provide NORAM requirements for cross-CBU projects. Perform activities associated with the innovation & renovation process such as technical risk assessments, specification reviews and approvals, documentation reviews, Food Safety validations and approvals, design assessments, trial support, etc. for NORAM CBU projects. Mitigate risk through application of scientific principles, technical experience and employment of Quality and Food Safety Standards. Manage the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) and lead FDA FSVP inspections. Be the primary NORAM QFS contact for international Danone SPs & global 3PMs. Facilitate communication with other BUs. Write NNA procedures to reflect NORAM QFS requirements. Adapt Global Danone SN standards to the local quality management system and train relevant personnel. Be the NORAM QFS point of contact for global SN standards and provide feedback to the SN standard owners. Ensure Danone SPs and global 3PMs are compliant to FDA & CFIA regulations and to NORAM QFS expectations. Assist with FDA & CFIA audit compliance; help interpret regulations & give guidance to SPs on how to comply with regulations. Gather & trend performance data (complaints, holds, etc.). Work with key contacts to drive improvement. Partner with Nutrition Services to help with quality related questions & inquiries and manage Customer and/or Sales inquiries. Manage FDA complaints. Stay current with all key regulatory and certifying agency guidelines and relevant Danone standards. All other duties as assigned. TRAVEL: Estimated at The base compensation range for this position is $105,000- $157,000 commensurate with experience. About You MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Science/Food Science/Technology or similar major 7+ years of combined experience with food, ingredients, quality, and manufacturing Advanced understanding of Quality Systems, Food Safety, and Quality Assurance and current Food Regulations. Good understanding of plant production systems, manufacturing equipment, GMP, SPC, sanitation and EHS. Experience with auditing suppliers and a demonstrated ability to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement. Experience in problem solving and driving conflict resolution Trained in SQF or FSSC (GFSI) auditing schemes. Experience managing external suppliers/co-manufacturers, preferred Prior or present responsibility as QA Manager/Engineer for a food manufacturing facility, preferred Technical knowledge of medical foods and/or infant formula, preferred Aseptic and/or retort technologies & associated regulations, preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be collaborative and have leadership ability Ability to work under deadlines, with multiple priorities Ability to work cross-functionally within organization Must be adaptable and flexible Self-driven, results oriented, able to work independently Ability to work with confidential materials Excellent communication / presentation skills Excellent record keeping / documentation skills Detail oriented.
