Certified Surgical Technologist

SUMMARY We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at United Memorial Medical Center. As the primary scrub tech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and success of surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include handling instruments, supplies, and equipment, as well as maintaining sterilization throughout the process. LOCATION: United Memorial Medical Center, Batavia, NY 14020 STATUS: Part Time DEPARTMENT: Operating Room RESPONSIBILITIES CME maintenance: Maintain at least 15 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) per year Supply check & sterilization: Ensure availability and sterilization of supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for surgical procedures Orientation: Assist in guiding medical/nursing students and technicians to the unit Draping & maintenance: Assist with draping procedures and maintain overall sterility in the operation room Unit development: Identify goals and objectives of the unit EDUCATION: Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent certification LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Surgical Technologist certification (preferred) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently The salary range is determined based on various factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
