South Mountain Restoration Center, a long-term-care nursing home facility operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to fill our Semi-Skilled Laborer position. In this role, you will operate and maintain various types of equipment while ensuring our grounds are kept in excellent condition. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will undertake semi-skilled tasks either independently or alongside a skilled tradesperson. Work involves the use of a variety of construction, groundskeeping, and maintenance equipment and tools, which frequently requires the application of skills acquired on the job. Your duties will include minor repairs, routine groundskeeping, and custodial tasks which are performed with considerable independence and reviewed upon completion. More advanced construction or repair work is completed under the direction of a skilled trade worker or supervisor. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime may be required as needed. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Condition of Employment: You must possess a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
