Job Title: Credit and Collections Manager Location: Vernon, CA Compensation: $100,000.00- $110,000.00 annually Our client, a leading distribution company based onsite in Vernon, CA, is looking to hire a Credit and Collections Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising a team of 5 Collections Specialists and managing the overall credit and collections process. Your primary focus will be on managing and decreasing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), developing and implementing effective collections strategies, and building strong relationships with the sales team. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of 5 Collections Specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth. Develop and implement effective collections strategies to manage and decrease DSO. Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify and address delinquent accounts. Collaborate with the sales team to build strong relationships and ensure alignment on credit and collections policies and procedures. Conduct regular reviews of customer credit limits and payment terms, making recommendations for adjustments as needed. Handle escalated collection issues and negotiate payment plans with customers. Prepare and present regular reports on collections performance and DSO metrics to senior management. Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to credit and collections. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a equivalent years of related experience. Proven experience in credit and collections management, preferably in a distribution or similar industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
