Description The Production Manager position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operation of a production unit in a way that emphasizes safety, environmental performance, quality, schedule execution, and that is focused on people development and assuring continuous improvement. Job Details Role Specific Responsibilities: Actively work on building highly effective Production teams through team building, clear communication cadence and provide ongoing coaching and training. Supervises skilled direct labor employees and provides development of team members including training, development planning, coaching, conducting performance reviews, implementing improvement plans, etc. Leads emergency response activities Helps manage the site hazardous/non-hazardous waste in coordination with EHS Records employees' attendance and hours worked in the Aurorium payroll system Generates ideas and implement changes in processes and use of equipment to increase efficiency, improve safety and quality, and reduce costs Schedules, assigns, and manages the daily activities to achieve production goals Acts as liaison with other functional areas throughout the facility Monitors inventory control processes and makes adjustment to stay within production schedule, budgets and established targets Assists in maintenance of various production equipment Maintains all Aurorium Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Completes other project work as necessary to support safe, efficient and productive operations Works closely with other departments to uphold and implement the company's goals Collaborates with Engineering and Quality teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production problems Maintains outstanding housekeeping and 5S Writes maintenance work orders to repair equipment when needed Ensures product integrity by taking action to correct abnormal situations which affect product quality Enters SAP production data Supports, participates in, and sometimes leads root cause investigation of incidents Completes other project work as necessary to support efficient operations Compliance: Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times Problem Solving and Innovation: Active participation in continuous improvement activities Participates in problem-solving Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members Exercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High School diploma or GED required Bachelors of Science in Engineering; Chemical or Mechanical preferred 5+ years of related manufacturing supervisory experience Experience wearing required PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel toe shoes, gloves, and a respirator Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and planning skills Self-motivated and ability to work within a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities Critical thinking and conflict resolution skills and analytical abilities which allow assessment of customer service issues, situations and opportunities Excellent proficiency within Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word,PowerPoint) as well as SAP and MP2 Willingness to work a non-standard shift, weekends, and/or overtime required Ability to work independently to resolve issues or problems on a day-to-day basis Embodies the core values of Aurorium: credible: keeps their word and honors their commitments, acts with integrity, and holds themselves accountable to their decisions and actions outcome-oriented: adheres to an unparalleled standard of excellence in everything they do, to deliver results with real impact driven: passionate about delivering authentic, world-class experiences that engage customers and inspire greatness empowered accountability: empowered to achieve common goals and accountable for delivering performances and results that exceed standard.
