JOB DESCRIPTION: The Logistics Manager, is responsible for leading a team focused on the tracking of rates/prices and booking of vehicle shipments across Reindeer. This role will work closely with senior management to provide influence on company progress, growth, profitability and most importantly, customer experience. RESPONSIBILITIES Include, but are not limited to: The Manager will be responsible for the development of a comprehensive carrier sales program, building out the management strategy and continuous improvement plan to result in ongoing incremental gains in cost reduction and lead time improvements. Oversee and manage dispatch teams supporting relocation, COD, fleet and FAK. Directs team to focus on and deliver specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) associated with on-time pick-up and delivery. Collaborate and partner with cross functional teams to formulate and implement policies, procedures, and objectives including delivering on Managed Services portfolio. Keep up to date on seasonal market trends and coordinate insights across team to ensure profitable pricing strategies. Coach and manage a team of logistics professionals utilizing software tools to negotiate and log market rates. Manage escalations and proactively communicate potential delays with cross functional teams to help inform clients. Ensure that the policies and procedures of customers' operations are communicated and met. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside of the company. On-going knowledge development is a must for this position - the ability to continually expand and develop your professional skills and knowledge, industry knowledge, client knowledge. Responsible for working with carrier compliance and shared service team to identify and onboard new carrier partners. Be an effective leader through commitment and example. Provide a positive and effective work environment. Commits to organizational goals and objectives. EXPERIENCE 1. Bachelors Degree or minimum of 5 years related experience in logistics. 2. Strong customer service/client relationship management experience. 3. Must have experience with process improvement and lean management. 4. Superior knowledge of multiple operational functional principles including finance, customer service, load management and employee management. 5. Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity. 6. Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency and support rapidly changing business demands. WORKING CONDITIONS: 1. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Minimal physical effort required, with or without accommodation, regarding sitting, standing, and manual dexterity of keyboarding in an office setting. Variable day schedule may include occasional evening and/or weekend hours. Keen auditory, visual and verbal skills. 2. MENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to prioritize multiple duties and adapt quickly to changing needs. Ability to function well under conditions of high volume with minimal supervision. 3. This role is considered hybrid working 3 days a week in office and 2 days a week remote. 4. This position is eligible for our discretionary bonus program after 90 days of employment.
