Our client is seeking a manufacturing plant Controller for their facility near Harrisburg, PA. This is a fully on site position. Job Title: Controller Responsibilities: Partner with plant staff to execute and deliver the annual operating plan. Develop operating plans, forecasts, and financial analysis and reporting. Direct timely and accurate financial closings. Drive a system of internal controls to ensure general ledger accounts are correctly stated and classified, and that financial reporting is prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Interact with multiple cross-functional team members at both plant and corporate levels. Principal Accountabilities: Participate as a key business partner to the Plant Management team, contributing to plant strategy development and execution of annual plans that drive year-over-year improvements. Direct and manage all financial and accounting functions for the plant. Lead annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and the management accounting/reporting process. Review and advise the management team on all financial/budgetary requirements and develop financial goals in partnership with plant and corporate leadership. Ensure that plant goals and initiatives are developed in line with company values, strategic goals, and business plans. Lead plant/corporate Enabler (cost savings) programs and plant teams toward driving year-over-year productivity improvements. Provide financial leadership on all aspects of plant supply chain management. Effectively communicate financial risks and opportunities to plant management and corporate. Review control procedures over accounting and financial activities. Provide guidance to ensure that internal accounting controls are in place to protect company assets. Ensure an adequate system of internal control is maintained, and that general ledger accounts are correctly stated, maintaining SOX compliance. Oversee preparation of the plant's financial reporting. Analyze and report manufacturing efficiency variances and determine corrective action requirements. Ensure items are correctly classified and all reporting is prepared in accordance with GAAP. Drive strategic business analysis that includes short and long-term value creation. Act as a proactive financial leader who provides guidance and mentoring to plant staff on all financial aspects. Job Specifications: Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Experience: 10+ years of overall experience with at least 5 years within a similar manufacturing/plant environment. SAP experience preferred. Skills: Strong ability to partner with all levels of the organization. Data analytics capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, especially strong skills in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP).
