Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Job Duties: As a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse, you will provide advanced care to patients transitioning between intensive and general care. Your responsibilities include: Reviewing patient charts, medication plans, and test results upon admission to the PCU. Continuously monitoring vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation. Interpreting data from specialized medical equipment to assess patient status. Administering and adjusting prescribed medications, including titration of dosages as required. Conducting diagnostic assessments in response to changes in patient measurements and carrying out designated interventions. Reporting any signs of patient deterioration to healthcare providers and following intervention protocols. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date ward charts, patient files, and medical records. Supervising nursing assistants and support staff within the PCU to ensure smooth operations. Explaining medical treatments and procedures to patients and their families, addressing their questions and concerns. Job Requirements: Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ASN/BSN). Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a related nursing role. License/Certification: Active RN license (State or compact), BLS (Basic Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications. Additional Requirements: COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory. Certification: Basic Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
