Description Leidos is seeking a skilled Federal Proposal Writer to join our Federal Civilian IT Growth Business Area's rapid response team. This position is crucial for supporting and leading the creation of compelling and compliant capture and proposal material in response to requests for information, proposals, and task orders across health, civilian, and NASA businesses. Primary Responsibilities: Develop proposal documents in collaboration with Capture Directors, Solution Architects, and Technical and Management Volume Leads to meet solicitation requirements. Work with Solution Architects and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to write and articulate solutions and corporate experience against proposal requirements. Ensure clear, compliant, compelling, and persuasive writing of proposal sections. Gather necessary information from internal and external personnel to support writing activities. Participate in a collaborative team environment to articulate solution and strategy, approach to performing the work, experience, win themes, and discriminators. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with at least 4+ total years of professional experience or 2+ years with a master's degree. 2 years of experience working as a proposal writer responding to Federal Government solicitations. Demonstrated success in writing and leading technical, management, transition, staffing, and/or corporate experience & past performance volumes for complex efforts. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent writing, communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Strong work ethic with a desire to excel and continue professional growth. Desired Qualifications: Experience with traditional video, live orals, and/or demonstration proposals. Ability to coach and instruct others to facilitate consistency across multiple authors. Location and Telework Options: Primary location in Reston, VA with up to 50% telework flexibility during active proposal efforts. Limited travel to various locations around the Washington Metro Area during proposal efforts is required.
