We are seeking a dynamic, engaging individual who will be responsible for HVAC (commercial) maintenance services.  Under the general supervision of the Director of Campus Services and Campus Services Supervisor, this individual will be responsible for completing maintenance requests from a variety of sources.   The HVAC Technician position performs multiple skilled tradesman responsibilities.  The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, talented individual who is committed to quality work and customer service as well as possesses a strong will to be a successful team player.  Independent thinkers and problem solvers with good communication skills who enjoy variety will succeed.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Qualifications Performs building maintenance and repair tasks, including but not limited to commercial HVAC repairs and maintenance. Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions. Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. Experience Five (5) or more years experience in HVAC (commercial) work. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Skills and Abilities Trade proficiency in commercial HVAC repair and maintenance. Knowledgeable on electrical repairs and troubleshooting. Ability to use heavy equipment, such as skid steers, backhoes, vertical lifts, and forklifts. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, stretch, push, pull, dig, and lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to utilize a cell phone and/or laptop for receiving maintenance requests and provide updates on the status of requests as needed. Ability to work on-call hours as needed. Other Must have a valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with school policy. Successful reference check, background check, and drug/alcohol screen clearance.
