Looking for an innovative, and motivated individual to join a small, talented, and hardworking Linux team in a hybrid cloud and on premise-based environment. This team creates, maintains, and troubleshoots Linux instances on multiple networks, in multiple architectures.The ideal candidate will have hands-on Linux administration experience, knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies, works well in a small team setting, has a desire to automate processes where possible, and a willingness to think outside the box to find solutions.Required skills:Experience with AWS API and cloud with configuration management and maintaining standard baselines in a production environment.Experience with scripting and task automation with Bash and Python scripts.ProvideLinux virtual andphysical server supportto include: AWS AMI creation/ installation/configuration. Software installation/updates/patches via Yum. Monitor servers for health and status. Troubleshoot Linuxserver hardware/software/networking. Perform security hardening of Linux OS for compliance. User account such asDNS, NFS, LVM, rsyslog, iptables.Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies.Ability to communicate issues withteam members and/or service owners.Work to be performed in Laurel, MD.Desired skills:Experience with AWS EC2 Auto Scaling.Experience with aws-cli and boto3.Experience with Puppet and Ansible.Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)Required Qualifications: Fourteen (14) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.Certifications: Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAM Level II (CASP, CISSP, CAP)Ready to join our team?
