Description We are seeking a Marine Electrical Engineer to join our team at Leidos | Gibbs and Cox. This role involves developing and implementing innovative solutions for complex defense-related challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineering and production teams, reporting to the Electrical Engineering Department Manager. This position requires collaboration with various program managers for contracted projects. Primary Responsibilities Perform calculations and apply electrical engineering principles to address technical issues in the design and engineering of marine vessels Communicate technical principles to clients Conduct design of electric and electronic systems for marine vessels Review and evaluate the impact of new or modified electronics on system performance Adjudicate system design specifications and test requirements Review and evaluate ship design rules and regulations Basic Qualifications U.S. Citizenship required Bachelor's degree in Technical, Engineering, or Marine Degree from ABET-accredited institution or related field of work Minimum of 2 years' experience integrating C5I systems Experience with shipboard and defense C5I systems preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience with Shipyard Production Systems Proficiency in standard software such as CAD, AutoCAD, and Rhino Knowledge of MIL Standards and Specifications Original Posting Date: Pay Range: Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
