Position Description You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the Air Platform Systems Engineering Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The Systems Engineer is responsible for overall technical baseline development and acquisition of Naval Aviation Systems. This position will serve as an Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE), who will be in charge of a technical development, leadership, and quality of the technical baseline being established, maintained, produced and sustained in the USN. Position Duties/Responsibilities You will develop and review technical documentation, and provide input and advice on all engineering and technical issues to ensure engineering requirements are met. You will formulate engineering design concepts and performance requirements to provide the basis for overall technical and engineering planning for the assigned system. You will integrate cost estimates with program plans, test and evaluation requirements, and projected problems, into a budget. You will assess progress of system development test and evaluation activities, inventory, production, and support to ensure adequate resources for project execution. You will maintain continuous contact with research and development personnel to be informed on new engineering and scientific developments. You will manage the aircraft weapon system architecture guidance on capability, weapon system, and segment/sub-system architectures with a focus on Multi-Tier Sensor Fusion, Multi-Tier Resource Management, and Multi-Ship Battle Management frameworks. You will manage Systems of Systems, weapon system, segment, sub-system behavioral architecture, requirements, and Interfaces, by collaborating between Architects and Systems Security Engineering to maximize both Cyber and Mission Capability. You will coordinate development of Multi-Level Security (MLS) architecture and implementation in order to satisfy Design Reference Mission (DRM) and capability roadmap needs. You will communicate up and down the chain of command, as well as across functional areas to manage the system architecture integration on three Type/Model/Series aircraft.
