Role: Senior Civil Engineer / Civil Project Manager Location: Multiple locations throughout MA RI Compensation: $80,000 - $140,000 DOE (hybrid work schedule, half day Fridays, annual bonus) POSITION SUMMARY: One of New England's top Engineering firms is on the hunt for a Civil Engineer who has a passion for the site design and land development space. The position applies extensive knowledge of principles and practices to a broad range of assignments and projects to support and/or manage several projects of major or moderate scope with complex features. If this sounds like you, please read on DUTIES AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform and/or supervise civil engineering field work. This may include directing the work of engineers, technicians, administrative staff, and subcontractors in a multi-disciplined team environment Review and/or prepare civil engineering reports, progress reports, contract documents, and other project documents Design a complete project within their practice area, system, components, or process and prepare complete project documents with a team of engineers and support staff Develop new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products Prepare progress reports, schedules and budgets for ongoing projects Prepare scope, staffing estimates, progress reports, schedules and budgets for new proposals Attend and present at interviews, project meetings and community outreach presentations Present projects to state and local permitting agencies including zoning and planning boards and conservation commissions Participate in business development plan implementation Represent the firm in the community, professional organizations, and at events Other related activities as needed EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES: Registered Professional Engineer license required Bachelor's degree in Engineering 6 years of Civil Engineering experience In-depth knowledge of design standards and engaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues Knowledge of standard design practices and state permitting regulations and requirements Experience with site construction, procedures, and best practices Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D LEED Accreditation or ENV Sustainability experience preferred Must be able to communicate effectively using verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to internal and external audiences Attention to detail and the ability to think critically Self-motivated with a professional attitude Active participation in professional and/or community organizations Service-oriented approach to client management and willingness to act as a mentor for junior-level employees preferred If you are interested in this position, please apply directly or reach out to to learn more.
