Plant Manager

Midwestern Pet Foods, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as Plant Manager in our Waverly, NY facility. The Plant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day activities in the facility while promoting continuous improvement through strong leadership. Job Responsibilities: Plan, organize, direct and run day-to-day operations. Achieve goals set for the production facility. Lead the facility in establishing and meeting continuous improvement objectives Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel Promote all Safety, Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures while supporting their continuous improvement efforts. Foster a well-trained and motivated team by encouraging and supporting the development of all plant employees Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement Provide operational and employee leadership to the facility Assist executive management with budgeting, production statistics, cost analysis, justification of capital expenditures and asset management. Responsible for implementing and reporting of plant KPIs Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors degree Business or related field preferred 10 plus years experience of leadership role within planning or supervision in a food manufacturing facility Strong written and verbal communication skills and abilities Working knowledge of production equipment Proactive problem-solving skills Quality System background or foundational knowledge. Experience with ERP, WMS and batching software.
