Senior Electrical Engineer

Description We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Leidos Gibbs & Cox, the largest independent naval architecture and marine engineering firm in the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for leading technical products within the electrical area on New Construction LPD 17, including specifications, drawings, and models. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing and reviewing electrical designs on the ship, collaborating with the Shipbuilder, Fleet, and other Navy agencies, and preparing engineering risk assessments. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 4 or more years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree in engineering with 2 or more years of relevant experience. In addition, a current Secret or above clearance is required. If you have demonstrated leadership with problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills in the design/build of motors, cables, power conversion and distribution, switchboards & panels, lighting systems, generators, and controls, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
