Electric Utility Distribution Engineer

Description We are looking for an Electric Utility Distribution Engineer to join our team at Leidos. In this role, you will be responsible for developing design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems. You must be comfortable working in the field as well as remotely, and able to independently assess project requirements and interact with clients. Job Responsibilities: Independently develop design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems Visit customer sites to collect field data and work remotely to complete designs Review work provided by clients and assess project requirements Perform engineering calculations and provide support during construction Conduct root cause analysis of outages and develop large design packages for complex projects Required Background: Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline (or relevant experience) Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to travel for work Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Experience working directly with an electric utility or electric utility consulting company preferred Join our team and enjoy a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive work culture.
