While this is a contractor role, the intension is that is will be both long term and will likely turn into fulltime. This Financial Systems Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing financial systems This role requires a strong understanding of financial and accounting, as well as the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to identify and document business requirements for financial systems. System Analysis: Analyze current financial systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization. Testing and Validation: Participate in system testing, ensuring that solutions meet functional requirements and user expectations. User Training: Conduct training sessions for end-users on new systems and processes. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, system configurations, and user guides. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between finance, IT, and other stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and collaboration. Project Management: Assist in project planning and management activities, ensuring timely delivery of financial systems projects. Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure that all financial systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in financial systems analysis or business analysis within a finance context. Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and reporting requirements. Proficiency in financial software systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with various stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Financial Management (e.g., CFA, CPA) is advantageous. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
