SAE Behavioral Health Consultants (SAE) is seeking a Government Grant Writer with experience in behavioral healthcare. We are a behavioral health consulting firm based in Manhattan, NY that provides nation-wide consulting services to non-profit organizations in the social services and health care field. Summary of Consultation The Consultant will play a pivotal role in securing funding for behavioral health and human services providers through successful grant writing while demonstrating expertise in crafting compelling proposals for state and federal funding notifications that follow closely on each client's statement of need, strategic plan (supported by our Grants Administrator), and best evidence-based practices. Responsibilities Demonstrate success in grant writing for state and federal funding notifications targeting behavioral health and human services, collaborating with agencies such as SAMHSA, DOJ/BJA, CMS, HRSA, ACF, DOE, and other relevant entities; Collaborate with agencies such as SAMHSA, DOJ/BJA, CMS, HRSA, ACF, DOE, and others to optimize funding opportunities; Liaise with diverse stakeholders, ensuring clear and persuasive communication; Leverage your management and program development experience in behavioral health, health, homelessness, or human service delivery to shape impactful initiatives; Showcase a highly organized approach, working efficiently within deadlines and under pressure; Cultivate a collaborative environment, contributing to a positive and effective team dynamic; Foster an inclusive culture internally and externally, embracing diverse perspectives and ideas; Contribute to an atmosphere of respect and value for all team members; and Lead and integrate seamlessly within our teams-led approach, promoting collaboration and efficiency. Requirements and Skills Possess an advanced degree in social work, psychology, education, public administration, public health, or a related field; Demonstrate specific expertise in working with underserved populations for a minimum duration of 5 to 10 years; Implement innovative, evidence-informed interventions within a human service agency; and Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate complex ideas and proposals. Compensation For the purposes of this job posting, we are required to set a minimum expected rate. Please note, however, all compensation is contract-based and is variable and dependent on both the specific need per client and each successfully executed contract per client.
