As a Resident Assistant you will be at the center of what we do best, caring for the residents with passion and dedication and building meaningful relationships to add values to their lives as you provide scheduled and unscheduled assistance to residents with activities of daily living- all according to departmental and company policy and procedure statements and following individual plans for service. The Resident Assistant ("R.A.") will also assist with and participate in meaningful programs and activities as assigned and may assist with lunch in the main dining room, as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Know our residents and their family by spending time getting to know them. * Understand our Successful Aging community's philosophy, culture, and its language. * Build positive and supporting relationships in the community to enhance the community culture. * Engage residents and connect with them in a genuine, compassionate, and memorable way and enjoy the moment that you spend with the resident. * Support our residents' in adopting a successful aging lifestyle and celebrate their accomplishments and efforts. * Passionate about the potential growth and confidence of our residents. * Provide services as scheduled for assigned residents. Such services may include helping with activities of daily living (bathing, oral care, grooming, clothing selection, dressing, undressing and changing, toileting, transferring, escorts, laundry, etc.). QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, andor ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Must be able to lift minimum 50 lbs. * Must be able to safely wear required PPE including respirator unless you received approved exemption through company policy EDUCATION andor EXPERIENCE * Education: High School Graduate as a minimum. * Certification as a nursing assistant (Certified Nursing Assistant) preferred but not required.
