As Manager 3, Software Engineering, you will drive the development of mission-critical services that seamlessly integrate our advanced tax engine with the user experience. Join the Core Tax Experiences team as a key Engineering Leader.Responsibilities Build a world-class team of software engineers through hiring and mentorship, delivering high performance, engagement, and professional growth Deliver robust, scalable, and secure services that form the bridge between TurboTax's tax engine and user-facing products Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and analytics to deliver high-quality software solutions Drive the execution of the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and customer needs Champion best practices in software development, ensuring flawless operational excellence and unlocking velocity through code quality and continuous delivery Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the teamQualifications At least 6 years of engineering management experience, with a proven track record of leading successful software development teams Strong technical background, with hands-on experience in software development and architecture Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present complex technical concepts to stakeholders Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, Agile environment Self-motivated attitude, demonstrating extreme ownership with the ability to make decisions independently, and a consistent track record of on-time, high-quality delivery Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate and manage ambiguity Experience working with large-scale, high-availability systems in a cloud environmentPreferred Qualifications: Experience in tax preparation or financial services industry Experience working in highly seasonal SaaS companies Expertise in building services that integrate with complex engines or platforms
