job Summary:Develop new ingredients: Develop novel antioxidant blends to improve the shelf-life stability and reduce oxidation of sensitive ingredients used in feed mixtures for livestock animals and companion animals.Improve existing ingredients: Develop new ways to use existing antioxidant ingredients for feed solutionsEnsure quality control: Ensure that ingredients meet quality standards and regulatory complianceManage samples: Manage samples for analysis, including proper storage and documentationEnsure compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures throughout the production processTo engage in and support application product development. Utilize existing and new ingredients, processes and concepts to demonstrate Lucta antioxidant technologies and maximize sales potential.Process customer sample requests that require application of using existing and new antioxidants, in a timely manner. This includes working on prioritized projects first and within the agreed upon deadline.To engage in product development, utilizing existing and new ingredients, processes and concepts to demonstrate Lucta flavors and technologies to maximize their sales potential.TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT: develops and tests antioxidants for animal feed to improve stability and reduce oxidation of sensitive ingredients: Development: Create new antioxidant profiles, and replicate existing antioxidantsSelection: Select the best antioxidants for the application and manage the flavor selection and evaluation processTesting: Test antioxidants in feed applications over time and temperature gradientsPerformance: Collect antioxidant performance resultsLibrary: Build a library of antioxidantsConsistency: Establish processes for consistent antioxidant reproduction during bulk productionSafety: Ensure antioxidants meet regulatory and safety requirements Other responsibilities may include:Preparing compounds and testing solutionsAnalyzing the composition and structure of compoundsDeveloping and improving products, formulas, and processesDocumenting findings in technical reportsMaintaining laboratory equipmentOrdering chemicals and laboratory suppliesKeep records and establish standard operation procedures for relevant tasks at hand.Follow safety policies and procedures.Effective communication skills, technical aptitude and strong interpersonal skills.Education Requirements:Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Animal Science, andor Food Science.Master's Degree preferred in Analytical Chemistry, Animal Science, or Food ScienceLucta is committed to the principles of equal employment and to complying with all federal, state, and local laws providing equal employment opportunities, and all other employment laws and regulations.
