This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while having the opportunity to make an impact on our clients' lives. As a WC Defense Attorney, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of workers' compensation defense cases. This is a challenging role that requires a unique blend of skills and experience. If you're looking for a position that will allow you to leverage your skills, drive results, and make a difference, this is the role for you.Responsibilities Provide aggressive representation for clients in all phases of workers' compensation defense litigation from inception to resolution. Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, opinions, orders, and subpoenas. Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences. Conduct and defend depositions of claimants, medical personnel, and other parties. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in mediation and informal settlement conferences. Maintain excellent client relationships through regular communication, providing updates on case status and progress.Qualifications Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Bar in good standing. Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a WC Defense Attorney. Proven track record in workers' compensation defense litigation. Exceptional knowledge of current WC laws and regulations, court rules, and procedures. Strong advocacy, research, and negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases. High level of independence and initiative. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
