Database Reliability Engineer95110, San Jose, California ( Hybrid )2 Months of Project with very high possibility to extend for more 3 monthsONLY SOMEONE WHO CAN WORK ON W2Job SummaryWork on reliability and performance aspects for core database infrastructures that allow products to scale.Ensure the highest level of uptime and Quality of Service (QoS) for Adobe's critical database environments through operational excellence.Implement solutions for automating deployment, provisioning and managing large-scale database environments.Improve observability by implementing smart monitoring, tracing, and logging.Act as main point of contact for production incidents, perform root cause analysis, identify, and resolve underlying problem patterns, while working towards developing automated and self-healing solutionsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical fieldAt least 5 years relevant production experience in supporting at scale, highly available,mission-critical database environments. Deep understanding in all areas such as database backups, replication, security, DevOps for databases (IaC, CICD), observability, and disaster recovery.Proficiency in at least two of the following open-source database management systems: MongoDB, Cassandra, MySQL, Percona XtraDB Cluster, MariaDB Galera Cluster, PostgreSQLExperience working with hyper-scale cloud providers (AWS andor Azure, GCP) and running at scale database environments on virtual computing environments (Amazon EC2, Azure VM)Experience with Cloud database technologies such as AWS RDS, AWS Keyspaces, Azure SQLCosmosDB, MongoDB Atlas, and Datastax Astra.Database migration experienceExperience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Chef, TerraformDeep understanding of cluster management areas, such as scaling, consistency tuning, replication, and multi-datacenter configurationExperience in performance monitoring, storage performance optimization, tuning database server configurations, queries, and indexesStrong data modeling and data structure design skillsExposure to containerization platforms (KubernetesDocker)Good understanding of Linux OS conceptsProficiency in any of the scripting language (Python Perl Ruby)
