Job Title: Civil Business Litigation ParalegalLocation: Newport BeachSalary: 80-110KWork Environment: 100% onsiteABA Paralegal Certificate Required: YES# of attorneys supporting: 1-2Minimum years of experience: 5 Practice area: General Civil Business LitigationSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:Experienced in preparing pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses and motions.Experienced in trial preparation.Experienced with filings in State and Federal courtsExperience with probate litigation and trust litigation a plus but not required.Candidate should have excellent computer skills and prefer to have experience in Word, WordPerfect, Excel, Hot Docs, LexisNexis, Essential Forms, MS Office programs, Timeslips and Time Matters. Training is available for Timeslips, Time Matters and Hot Docs.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Willingness and ability to learn and perform new tasks.Excellent interpersonal skills, including evidenced ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization, including clients, attorneys, courts, and opposing counsel.Strong analytical, drafting, and proofreading skills. Attention to detail is very important.Willingness to ask questions and to seek information needed to complete projects and tasks.Be able to manage time efficiently with minimal supervision.Experience in tracking and billing time accurately.Self-starter with the ability to work independently and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously and as part of a team.Strong organization, time management and project management skills, including ability to adhere to project deadlines, while being flexible as necessary in response to changes and delays in deadlines.
