We are seeking a Finance Operations Manager to support our client's financial strategy by optimizing processes, managing budgets, and ensuring operational efficiency.Position Summary:The Finance Operations Manager located in San Jose will oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and driving efficiencies in accounting, budgeting, and reporting processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams"”including operations, procurement, and sales"”to align financial strategies with business objectives, and have experience in the food manufacturing space. This role is crucial in supporting key decision-making by providing actionable financial insights and ensuring tight control over cost and performance metrics.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management & Reporting:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.Manage cash flow, forecasts, and working capital to maintain healthy business liquidity.Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.Operational Finance:Collaborate with the production and supply chain teams to monitor manufacturing costs and ensure accurate cost accounting.Oversee inventory valuation, waste management reporting, and cost variance analysis to drive efficiency.Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure alignment with operational goals.Budgeting & Forecasting:Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, coordinating with department heads.Provide variance analysis and recommendations to ensure financial targets are pliance & Internal Controls:Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, including tax reporting and audits.Implement and monitor internal financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure data integrity.Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Work closely with operations, procurement, and senior management to align financial strategies with operational goals.Support finance transformation initiatives to improve processes and leverage new technologies.Cost AccountingQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBACPA preferred).Able to be on-site at our client's site located near San Jose, California (*relocation support potentially*)5+ years of progressive experience in finance & accounting; must have experience in manufacturing or ideally food manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A).Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Excel.Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of local and federal regulations impacting the food manufacturing industry is a plus.Why Join Us?Competitive salary with performance-based bonusesComprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchingOpportunities for career growth and professional developmentA vibrant, fast-paced work environment committed to sustainability and innovation
