POSITION SUMMARYThe Electrical Engineer will design, wire, troubleshoot and build custom equipment used in the manufacturing of company products.RESPONSIBILITIES Trouble shoot and repair electrical equipmentCommunicate with operators and leads to diagnose problems or implement improvementsVerify safe operating conditionsDesign electrical controls and drive systemsQuote jobsLayout control panels and junction boxesWire electrical controls and systemsProgram PLC, PC's, HMI's, VFD, etc.Research replacement componentsPurchase componentsTrain operators and leads on new equipment releaseHandle confidential information on a regular basisTake on and complete any work that is assigned by the tool room AreaShift leadersQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma with a minimum of 10 years; or Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experienceFamiliarization with PLC programming and CadMust have all basic toolsAbility to understand and follow English instructionsElectrical design and troubleshooting skillsGood basic math skillsAbility to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to work flexible hours and overtime as requiredAbility to use computer and software as requiredCOMPETENCIESSafetyDecision MakingPlanning & OrganizingQualityCommunicationValues Trust & IntegrityAnalysis and Problem SolvingInterpersonal SkillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift 50 poundsMust be able to bend, squat, twist and kneel.Ability to use hand and power tools.Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
