PumpSystems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join our team in Brooklyn, NY.You will report directly to the Production Engineering Manager and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day production at the Federal Pump site of Pump Systems located in Brooklyn, NY. The Production Technicians will report to you. You will work closely with engineers and technicians to optimize workflow, ensure accurate billing of materials and inventory, maintain data integrity and manage shippingreceiving.You will need to pay great attention to detail and will be able to operate within an ERP system, as well as have strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day production at Federal pumpManage and improve Inventory at shepherd and off-site storage locationCollaborate with Engineers to optimize workflow and make corrective changes to production proceduresManage ShippingReceivingMaintain order and good relationships within the shopCommunicate regularly with upper management regarding any production related issuesMotivate, Support, and guide production staffCoordinate the flow of materials, parts and sub-assemblies between departments on the shop floor as well as to and from suppliers, by ensuring the availability of equipment, tooling, materials and labor.Review materials and parts inventory required for productionCompare records on inventory, materialsparts requirements to ensure adequate programmed control dataUse problem solving and critical thinking skills to overcome obstaclesTeach lean concepts and actively engage employees to improve speed, quality and reduce costPreferred Skills:Quality controlInventory managementShipping and ReceivingAutodesk (CADCAM)Knowledge of pumpsRequirements:Must have minimum 3 years in ProductionManufacturingMust have bachelor's degree.
