Legal Assistant, Corporate Law, Boston Hybrid (3 days in office), competitive salary plus bonus, optional paid time and a half OT, and excellent benefits including tuition reimbursement and a 9-5 work day! About the CompanyRole: top ranked and exceptionally well-established major law firm, with hundreds of employees working hybrid in stunning Boston headquarters. As this is a larger entity, there's opportunity for tuition reimbursement along with other outstanding benefits! The firm is hiring two new Legal Assistants in this outstanding group that services the full lifecycle of legal needs for private equity firms and private equity backed companies as well as for some other business and tech clientele. One Legal Assistant role is replacing a valued employee whom, after over 20 years with the firm, is relocating out of state, and the additional role is to accommodate overall growth in the practice. This team is known for being a collaborative and friendly, well organized practice area. While these roles have hours of 9-5, they do have an evening staff to take on overflow - which helps ensure work. Life balance. There's always the opportunity for someone looking to make additional income with time and a half paid overtime to volunteer to work additional hours (not required and current person isn't doing extra hours) but this is always an option if you want it, which is awesome!).What you'll do: you'll handle the full span of Legal Assistant functions and be engaged in every transaction for senior-level attorneys involved in all aspects of business practice, including corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, buyouts, cross- border transactions, private equity, finance and restructuring, tax, and debt financing. Responsibilities include preparation of documents, stock certificates, corporate minute books; correspondence to clients; extensive client interaction; managing attorney contact databases; meeting scheduling; travel arrangements; time entry; expense reporting; preparation of weekly reports for department; monthly invoices; and all other related administrative duties. Client relations work including handling of all logistics of marketing and client-related meetings including international meetings and travel. You "˜ll prepare complex closing binders and will do substantial drafting, editing, redlining, and formatting of legal documents, as such the final step in the process is a document production assessment and MS Styles capabilities will be valued here!About you: you have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Legal Assistant, ideally supporting private equity funded companies with the full lifecycle of legal needs - or have similar corporate transaction legal support experience with all of the functions listed above. You're strength is understanding the needs of the attorneys and mastery of process, such that you can anticipate needs and become a valuable part of running a top tier process. You have strong documentation, formatting, and MS Styles expertise.
