Attorney

Boyd, Richards, Parker, Colonnelli, a civil litigation law firm, is seeking an experienced and motivated attorney for its New York office. Strong interest in attorneys with litigation experience, handling cooperative and condominium law, employment law and commercial litigation. The candidate must be admitted to practice in New York, possess strong writing skills and be comfortable litigating cases from inception through trial, appearing in court, handling depositions and working in a team-oriented environment.The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $165,000 and the actual compensation will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience.Responsibilities:Managing case load from inception to post-trialAttending court conferences, oral arguments, depositions, mediations, and trialsPreparing pleadings, discovery, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documentsPreparing timely reports regarding case status and ongoing activitiesAbility to prioritize work-load based on deadlinesCommunicating effectively with clients, senior attorneys and paralegalsMeeting billing requirementsCompleting tasks as assigned in a timely mannerRequired Skills:Excellent communication (verbal and written) skillsAbility to interact with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and office staff in a professional mannerAbility to delegate and prioritize as necessaryMust be detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsFamiliarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookKnowledge of ProLaw a plusRequired Qualifications:Member in Good Standing of the New York bar, admission to the federal District Courts a plusJob Type: Full-timeSchedule: Approximately 2000 billable hours expected per year
