SENIOR PACKAGING DESIGNERLocation: Framingham, MADuration: 4 months+Hours per week: 40Hybrid Schedule: 2 days per week on site, ideally TuesWed but flex on the daysRate Range: $40-$48 per hourTimeline for hire: 1-2 interviews + onboarding, likely mid NovemberPosition OverviewOur client is seeking a strong Senior Packaging Designer to join their team for a 4 month (minimum) opportunity! This will be 40 hours per week, 2 days on-site in Framingham, MA. The role is an integral member of a cross-functional team. As the creative force responsible for driving the development of all packaging and branding across selected categories, you will oversee supplier relationships to ensure the packaging quality and deadlines are met. Partners in collaboration with Product Development and Buyers in identifying and creating successful brand packaging.Key ResponsibilitiesOversees the creation of trend forward brand packaging across various home categoriesPartners with product development and merchandising to fill lifestyle needs by product category. Influences the organization on design decisionsPartners with the Sr. Product Development Managers, Trend Teams and Divisional Manager to create compelling brand packagingEnsures the quality of the vendor's packaging through an established approval process and ensures all deadlines are metCreates and directs brand packaging for a wide variety of products (boxes, hangtags, labels, etc).Prioritizes and directs designers, freelancers, interns andor contractors in design and content creation.Follow-through from conception to shelf providing approvals and overseeing successful execution of all components before press and delivery. Communicate with product development and regulatory teams throughout the design process, including reviewing and proofing packagingMaintains a strict adherence to T&A and deadlines. Establishes parameters of acceptable tolerances in printcolorconstruction while developing and implementing methods to improve efficienciesManages the photography and photography requirements for packages. Directs styling, ensures photo quality, content, and that timeline requirements are metQualificationsBachelor's degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging design or a related role.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).Strong portfolio demonstrating successful packaging design projects.Knowledge of design trends and ability to apply them to packaging solutions.If you think you're a fit we'd love to hear from you!!
