IT Project ManagerLocation: Portland, OR (100% onsite)Duration: 12 months+About the Role:We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager (PM) to lead and manage the execution of complex technology projects across the full project lifecycle. As the PM, you'll be responsible for ensuring project objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In this role, you'll support technology-driven initiatives, aligning them with strategic goals and maintaining a focus on customer experience and operational excellence.Primary Responsibilities:Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, ensuring control over quality, scope, budget, and schedule from initiation to close-out.Charter Development: Define and obtain agreement on key project elements, including objectives, scope, success metrics, and benefits.Documentation & Reporting: Produce project plans, schedules, budgets, and other essential documentation. Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates and addressing issues proactively.Risk & Issue Management: Maintain risk and issue registries, identifying and mitigating potential project risks to ensure project success.Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management: Facilitate change requests and negotiate updates with stakeholders. Coordinate work among team members, consultants, and vendors as needed.Vendor Management: Assist in procurement and oversee vendor and consultant deliverables, ensuring quality and alignment with project goals.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience:6+ years in IT project management with progressive responsibilities.5+ years managing complex IT projects in environments involving COTS, custom software solutions, andor organizational transformations.2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.Certification:PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required within one year of hire.Agile Certification is preferred.Skills:Strong project management skills, especially with large-scale, complex IT initiatives.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations.Abilities:Lead multiple medium to large projects, delivering within scope, budget, and timeline.Navigate complex project scenarios, apply risk mitigation strategies, and drive cross-functional team alignment.
