Apply now for consideration!Contract: 3 Months with possible extensionLocation: New York, NY (hybrid)Pay Rate: $38-$44hour DOEYour RoleWe are seeking an experienced freelance packaginggraphic designer to join our client's Beauty Design team. This role can be either hybrid or remote and will require 20-40 hours per week. The Designer is responsible for creating commercially viable product designs for our personal care category. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design and fashionbeauty trends. The design aesthetic ability must be modern, feminine, and sophisticated to support our client's brand voice.Your ImpactDevelop creative and appealing packaging concepts & designs for new seasonal personal care collections.Work closely with the design team to evolve & execute designs.Ability to quickly interpret feedback and deliver timely revisions.Be an idea generator, self-starter, and collaborative team-player.Passionate commitment to staying aware of fashion and beauty market trends.Apply understanding of brand codes, maintaining design and having a discerning eye for color.Deliver product designs and technical turnovers with speed, agility and acute attention to detail.Clearly communicate with comp houses to produce accurate 3D prototypes.Paces with the business with ability to quickly pivot on feedback and maintain a flexible mindset.Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and embrace constructive feedback with a positive attitude. Your ExperienceBachelor's degree in design, graphic arts, or equivalent experience.5-7+ years of design experience in a comparable packaging environment.Strong portfolio showcasing a range of packaginggraphic design projects and concepts.Career track record that shows strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and to meet deadlines using excellent organizational skills, quality execution and attention to detail.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).Strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition, and layout principles.Knowledge of print production processes and materials.Proficiency in creating mock-ups and prototypes to visualize packaging concepts.Collaborative partner with a team-oriented approach.Excellent communication skills and the ability to present ideas effectively.Knowledge in, and passion for, current trends in design, beauty, and fashion.Upholding standards of personal professionalism and accountability.Must be comfortable working a hybrid schedule in our New York City office.Russell Tobin Pride Global offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), a 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto and home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
