Our charming artist and craft studio offers a variety of classes, workshops, open studio space, artist rental space, parties and events in a fun and collaborative environment.Role DescriptionThis is a part-time on-site role for an Art Studio Assistant. The assistant will be responsible for maintaining the studio and supplies, loading and unloading kilns, recycling clay, calling clients for pick up and appointments. Assisting clients during open studio drop in sessions.Answering phones and making calls to clients.QualificationsStrong knowledge of ceramics, kilnsExperience in customer service, outgoing and confidentAbility to work with artists and staff in maintaining the studio.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for studentsAbility to work collaboratively with other instructors and staff membersBachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field is preferredPrior experience teaching in a similar environment, especially in a community-based setting, is highly desirableKnowledge of ceramics techniques andor experience with ceramics is an additional asset.
