This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and skilled practitioner in AWS IAM policy development, Terraform, and Python. The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer will lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions to improve business capabilities, focusing on secure, compliant, and scalable public cloud services.Top Skills Required:AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional - mandatoryTerraform - proficiency with certification preferredService Control Policy Expertise - advanced AWS IAM policy development and service control policy enforcementPython with boto3 library - hands-on experience requiredStrong communication skills, proactive, team-oriented, and capable of managing complex projectsResponsibilities:Design and develop cloud services, APIs, and serverless applications using Terraform to align with architectural standards.Enhance Cloud Platform security with custom preventative and responsive controls.Lead scalable, complex problem-solving initiatives with new features and tools.Collaborate within Agile processes to size stories, conduct research, and suggest new cloud solutions.Implement monitoring tools and metrics for enhanced visibility, reliability, and service performance.Document and maintain cloud infrastructure deployment patterns, policies, and best practices.Actively contribute to a collaborative team environment, ensuring the success of cross-functional teams and customer satisfaction.Preferred Certifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect ProfessionalAWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar certificationsKey Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceProficiency in Terraform for cloud infrastructure managementExpert knowledge in AWS architecture and IAM policy development for secure role provisioningSkilled in CICD practices and tools, especially GitLabStrong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)Exceptional documentation skills (e.g., data models, process diagrams, designs)This role is an opportunity for a self-starter to shape our cloud infrastructure's strategic vision and technical capabilities.
