VP-Accounting & Finance Ringwood, NJ $175-225k plus bonusBell & Associates has been engaged to help our client find their next VP of Finance. The VP of Finance will have hands-on responsibility in leading the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company to support the Company's growth strategy. The VP of Finance will also create operational analyses and provide tactical financial support to help drive high-level strategic decisions. In this position you will be a trusted advisor to senior management and the Company's private equity partners.ResponsibilitiesManage ongoing activities including payroll, billing, collections, payables, bank reconciliations, etc.Provide financial analyses and operational metrics to executive management to assist in anticipating key business issues and improve strategic decision making processesMaintain financial reports to provide insight into financial performance of the Company's branches and divisonsPrepare monthly financial statements, and compare and analyze monthly results relative to budgetDevelop annual budgetsCoordinate the preparation of annual audits and tax returnsParticipate in key decisions as a member of the executive management teamMaintain in-depth relations with all members of the management teamOversee diligence, execution and integration of add-on acquisitionsOversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits packageUnderstand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profileMonitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industryConstruct and monitor reliable control systemsMaintain appropriate insurance coverageEnsure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirementsEstablish guidelines, processes, and control systems as the Company continues its rapid growth trajectoryRequirements10+ years of progressively responsible related experienceExperience working for a private equity-backed company preferred but not required. If no prior private equity experience, candidates must be comfortable working in a metrics-driven environmentHigh level of written and oral communication skillsCertified Public Accountant designation preferredDemonstrated knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting knowledgeStrong understanding of forecasting and budgeting, and proven ability to hold others accountable to meet budget goalsStrong problem-solving capabilities, both in ideation and executionAbility to work in an exciting, fast-paced, high energy environment while effectively multitaskingHighly analytical, rigorous and detail-orientedExperience establishing and implementing process improvement initiativesBell & Associates, Inc. was recently recognized by Forbes list of Best Professional Recruiting Firms in America - TALENT.
