Lead UI Engineer

Our Cleveland client has retained us to identify a Lead UI Engineer. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality user interfaces that are efficient, responsive, and visually appealing.Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into seamless, intuitive UI components and experiences.Implement and enforce UI best practices, coding standards, and development workflows to ensure consistency, performance, and accessibility.Architect and optimize front-end applications for maximum speed and scalability.Lead code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior UI engineers to elevate technical standards and collaboration within the team.Stay updated on the latest industry trends, frameworks, and tools to drive innovation and incorporate emerging best practices into the development process.Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, cross-browser compatibility, and other front-end challenges.Qualifications7+ years of experience in front-end development, with a focus on building responsive, user-centered interfaces.Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, along with experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.Solid experience with UIUX design principles and experience working closely with design teams.Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience integrating front-end applications with backend services.Proficiency in modern front-end build pipelines and development tools, including Webpack, Babel, Git, and npmYarn.Experience with performance optimization, debugging, and testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
