Litigation Practice Group LeaderRidgefield Park, NJOUR CLIENTOur client is an acclaimed plaintiffs' law firm recognized by Best Lawyers 2024 as a top firm in the category of "Mass Tort Litigation Class Actions - Plaintiffs." Due to growth, the firm has created a new Litigation Practice Group Management position.The firm offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package (estimated base salary of $175k-$225k plus bonus eligible) and a flexible, hybrid schedule in the Ridgefield Park office with light but consistent travel to the Philadelphia office.The duties and responsibilities of this position are fluid as this is a newly created position, but the anticipated responsibilities include but are not limited to:Manage schedules, workflow, and trial staffing needs Occasionally support litigation assignments and trial preparation including drafting pleadings, collectingorganizing discovery, assembling juror notebooks, etc.Oversee technological programs, reassess tech needs, and manage tech budget and trainingWork with partners and HR team on hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluationsWork with partners and HR team to meet the educational needs of the practice groupAssign mentors and ensure that mentorsmentees have sufficient interactionOversee and recommended CLEs and professional development seminars Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree5+ years of leadership experience in a large law firm (preferably AM LAW ranked)5+ years of complex litigation experience in a large law firm (preferably AM LAW ranked)Exceptional writing skillsTech savvy and experience with eDiscovery platforms Hybrid presence in NJ; occasional travel to Philadelphia office In addition to the above requirements, the following characteristics and skills are critical to the success of this position:Strong attention to detail, meticulous organizational skills, superior time management, and a demonstrated history of managing and meeting deadlinesSophisticated approach to work and ability to quickly build credibility with lawyersGood judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skillsProactive and collaborative approach to projectsNuanced and thoughtful interpersonal communication skills Reliable, punctual, and a consistently positive attitudeABOUT THE LAWTThe Lawt is a team of recruiters who help lawyers with lateral moves, professional development, and sustainability of practice.
