Investment Associate - Credit

Evolution Credit Partners, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, manages approximately $3 billion across a range of synergistic credit strategies. Evolution's credit platform provides bespoke financing solutions across the credit spectrum. This position is for a role in our New York or Boston office.Role Description:The Associate will be an integral member of Evolution Credit Partners and will be responsible for supporting the various strategies across the Firm. This person will be exposed to a broad range of structured credit, direct lending, working capital finance, and other opportunistic credit investment opportunities across various sectors. Partnering with a deal originator, they will be responsible for the fundamental credit analysis of investments made on behalf of Evolution Credit Partners with a deep emphasis on bottoms-up credit analysis and credit markets. The Associate will also be responsible for undertaking additional responsibilities across investing, business development, investor relations, and other strategic activities to support the entrepreneurial nature of the Firm and its growing credit platform. Evolution Credit Partners is seeking an experienced associate that has worked in financial services, has training at an investment bank or similar environment with a comprehensive foundational skills training program. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to work across the Firm and its various business lines in an entrepreneurial manner, possesses a deep interest in and understanding of the credit markets, and will be able to contribute immediately to expanding the team's analytical investment capabilities.The role will entail the following:Conduct independent fundamental credit analysis, due diligence and approval of new investmentsCalibrate financing needs and structures for prospective borrowersUndertake financial modeling of investment opportunitiesAnalyze comparable creditsProvide comprehensive market reviews and insight across the credit marketsInteract with management teams, industry sources, and other investment professionalsDevelop and advance business relationships, including with potential investments and existing and potential investorsWork to source new investment opportunities in an entrepreneurial environmentLead specific aspects of the business development process including industrymarket research, deal origination and qualification, and relationship building across key strategies for the FirmProvide portfolio reports and presentations for internal and external useComplete other ad hoc analysis and tasks as neededAdhere to investment processes and operational standards of Evolution Credit PartnersSkills, Experience and Education:2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, andor other relevant fieldsExcellent credit skills demonstrated through prior relevant experience such as trading desk analyst or other credit research analyst rolesDeep understanding of the broader financial and specifically credit marketsDemonstrated initiative with high level of motivation Enthusiastic team player and flexible in approach with ability to work independentlyStrong interpersonal skills for interactions with investors, investment targets, and other key third partiesOpen-minded thought processes with an ability to dynamically adapt to coverage of different investment strategiesExcellent written communication skills Outstanding academic background from top-tier university
