Sr. SAP Financial Business Analytics Lead

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst specializing in the financial domain to support data engineering and analytics needs. The successful candidate will work closely with finance teams, focusing on processes such as Order to Cash, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), pricing, and contracting. This role involves defining data requirements, performing detailed data analysis, and ensuring data solutions meet financial reporting and analytics requirements. This is a remote position within the U.S., requiring at least five years of relevant industry experience.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the primary interface between finance teams and data engineering, translating finance-related needs into technical requirements.Deeply understand finance processes, including Order to Cash, APAR, and pricing and contracting, and communicate these processes effectively to data engineering teams.Conduct thorough data analysis to support finance operations, identifying key metrics, trends, and insights that drive financial decision-making.Formulate and document technical requirements for data engineers to enable accurate and relevant analytics solutions.Collaborate with finance stakeholders to clarify data needs, validate data accuracy, and ensure data quality.Utilize SQL and other query languages to analyze financial data, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.Develop queries and transformations to facilitate reporting and data insights for finance functions.Create and present basic visualizations and reports using Tableau to communicate data insights and performance metrics to finance stakeholders.Leverage previous experience with SAP as the primary source system for financial processes, with a focus on understanding its functional aspects and data structures.Exposure to Snowflake is a plus, with an understanding of its application in data storage and retrieval.Qualifications:At least 5 years of experience in a business analysis role within the finance domain, with a strong focus on data engineering and analytics.Proven experience working with finance processes, such as Order to Cash, AP, AR, pricing, and contracting.SAP finance functional system experienceStrong proficiency in SQL and data querying techniques.Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau to present and analyze financial data.Exposure to Snowflake is beneficial, with knowledge of data handling and storage principles.
