Plant General Manager

They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Manager to join their team and provide capable leadershipResponsibilities:Overall responsibility and accountability for all Plant OperationsDirect reports include Accounting, Purchasing, Laboratory, HR, Engineering & Maintenance, Scheduling, Customer Service, Shipping Receiving Warehousing, Health, Safety & Environment and Factory Supervisory staffDotted line relationships include IT, Sales, R&D and FinanceWorks with staff and Finance to create an annual operating budget and tracks and reports progress against the budgetWorks closely with Sales and Scheduling to ensure that the plant is satisfying sales orders while maximizing operational efficiencyHas ultimate responsibility for the health and safety of all plant and office employees, for the management of worker compensation claims and for compliance with local, state and federal environment regulationsEnsures supervisors and managers treat employees fairly and work to optimize their efficiency and performance and maintain morale within the organizationMaintains ultimate responsibility for quality and is seen as its championDevelops policies and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the plant and warehouseWorks with staff, Engineering and employees to develop capital improvement plans for the plant and warehouseQualifications:Demonstrated financial acumen with a history of making key decisions that affect the bottom line of a manufacturing facility. You should be able to talk about your impact to the P&L in specificsExcellent trouble shooting skillsMaintains a detailed understanding of all aspects of the businessHas exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills with employees, staff, suppliers and customersMinimum 8 years in a senior management position in a manufacturingUniversity Degree in EngineeringProven track record in operating under a variety of business conditionsCompensationSalary: $150,000 - $200,000 per yearVariable Bonus: Eligible for a competitive variable bonus based on individual and company performance.Additional InformationType of Company: Privately heldPosition: Plant ManagerReports to: Ownership
