Network Engineer

Title: NetworkSecurity EngineerDuration: 12+ months contract Location: Hybrid 2 days week in NYC (10019) with possible travel to the data center in Carlstadt, NJ (2xyear)Industry: Financial Services At least two years of experience configuring and managing enterprise networks andor security infrastructure. Experience:Solid understanding of Routing & Switching technologies OR security infrastructureExperience working with Firewalls. Palo Alto a plusMACD work including patching and configuration of switchportsMaintain inventory of network and telecom devicesMonitor networktelecom infrastructure and work with vendors on related issuesApply best practice and necessary upgradesRespond & investigate to security alerts and apply corrective actionAbility to work independently with a strong sense of system ownership Preferred: Any EDR, MDR, SIEM experience (Big plus)Experience working with load balancers. Experience with proxy servers.Understanding of Cisco Wireless infrastructureTelephony support (Big plus)Experience with Networking in Cloud such as Azure.Vulnerability managementExperience with packet sniffing and analyzingCCNA or any security certification
