Construction Manager

We are seeking a Sr. CM lV (Baggage Handling System SME) for our client located in Los Angeles, CA. The Sr. CM is responsible for managing the scope, cost, schedule and operational interfaces of all design and construction related activities for the Baggage Handling System projects. The Sr. Baggage Handling System SME will be focused on schedule certainty, budget delivery and making sure that construction work meets the required quality standards while enforcing a strong health, safety, and environmental culture on the project. The Sr. Baggage Handling System Project SME will ensure the development and implementation of design, construction, testing, commissioning, turnover plans, impacts to the operations, ensuring that risk mitigation for construction activities are optimized, working and coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring Client's standards are adhered to. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified individualEssential Job Duties• Experience in design and spec developmentcommissioninginstallation of in-bound, out-bound baggage systems with in-line security systems conforming to TSA requirements with knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems.• Layout and Installation BIM Coordination with other trades for conflict resolution.• Managing RFI's, Submittals, Changes, Quality Assurance, etc.• The consultant shall have thorough knowledge of Mechanical systems and equipment along with an understanding of applicable codes and permitting requirements.• Provide support in close out activitiesadministration.HardwareSoftware Knowledge• Word, Prolog, Outlook, Office 365, which also includes Excel and PowerPointProfessional Experience LevelOther Qualifications• More than 15 years of experience in maintenance and operation of Baggage Handling Systems.• More than 15 years of experience in airport construction is required.• Experience in the construction of large aviation related projects at domestic andor foreign airport locations.• Experience on Activation team at large domestic or international airport.• Comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.• Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, andor operational or technology testing.• Proven leadership and management capability is required.• Good written and oral communications skills.EducationTraining• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or other related field required• Master's degree preferred• Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc. or any other relevant professional licensure andor certificationsOther• Maybe required to work past regular work shift• Maybe required to work various shifts as needed• Client will provide a desktop computer that can be VPN'd into• Consultant MUST have a company-provided laptop computer. This is required for company business and to VPN into LAWA system when away from the office as necessary• Cell phone provided by consultant is required• This is NOT a work from home position• This is a salaried position based on 40 hours per week at the applicable all-in labor rate.• This is a Monday-Friday full-time position in the office or on the project site• After hours or weekend work may be required to perform the duties of the position. This shall be considered part of the salary• Transportation tofrom worksite is the responsibility of the consultant• Must live within commuting distance or willing to relocate to area
