Purchasing Manager - HVACHighland Consulting Group is a nationwide recruiting firm that focuses on placing top construction talent within the commercial, institutional and industrial sectors.We are recruiting a detail-oriented Purchasing Manager with HVAC purchasing experience. Our client is a larger regional HVAC contractor in the Gainesville, VA area. The ideal candidate will have experience in negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. As a Purchasing Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimizing costs and maintaining high-quality standards in our HVAC projects.This position is extremely important to the success of the company and reports directly to the Executive Team. No travel is anticipated.ResponsibilitiesSource and qualify vendors as necessary in order to meet project demandsEnsure that materials are delivered as scheduledCollaborate with suppliers, vendors and Project Managers to establish and improve relationships, quality and overall partnershipsReduce andor maintain material costs through cost saving techniques along with strategic negotiation with vendorsNegotiate all vendor pricing of all front end commoditiesAnalyze multiple vendor bids and create all project budgetsNegotiate and monitor master contract agreements and vendor work scopesResponsible for creation and distribution of all purchase orders and variance purchase ordersContinuously monitor and update vendor pricingRequirements5 years experience working as a Purchasing Manager in the construction industry with HVAC projectsExperience with direct purchasingExperience with direct import preferredExcellent communication skillsExperience managing monitoring vendor rebatesExperience negotiated large contracts is preferredExperience managing purchasing department is preferredStrong computer skillsMust be extremely organizedBachelor's degree preferredBenefitsThis company cares about and is committed to the well being of its employees and their families.
