Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Our Client is a large, publicly traded manufacturing firm with operations in the Dyersburg, TN area. They are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager. The EH&S Manager is overall responsible for providing health, safety and environmental compliance oversight at the Dyersburg site and assisting with EHS activities at other sites, as needed.Duties include:Establishing the safety standards for the Dyersburg plant consistent with or exceeding OSHA and other local standards.Ensure a high level of compliance within all state and local standards, as well as ensuring environmental compliance within all global environmental regulations.Develop an immediate short-term and multi-year plan to drive continuous improvement with specific and actionable steps for near term implementationEstablish and maintain the EHS training process Provide analysis of EHS performance metrics to the Business Unit as well as provide improvement recommendationsEstablish and maintain the EHS training process for the designated plant to ensure that training is conducted in an effective manner and in compliance with regulatory agency requirementsLead new hire and annual refresher Joint Health & Safety Committee Candidate Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Safety or Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical) 5+ years' EHS experience in a manufacturing or a manufacturing environment. 3+ years' experience with federal regulatory compliance, reporting, training, and tracking.Must have knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and implementation of programs in a manufacturing environment. Must have experience with environmental regulations, standards, and implementation of environmental programs in a manufacturing environment.
