We believe in owning tomorrow, achieved by a mindset of Grow Fearlessly.About the Role:As a Data & Systems Architect (Senior Data Engineer) at Empower, you'll take the lead in designing, maintaining, and continuously improving complex data and cloud ecosystems. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing data processes, ensuring data quality, and driving data-driven decision-making for both the Empower team and our clients.Responsibilities:Architect and design complex data systems and pipelines.Lead, mentor, and guide data engineers, analysts, and team members.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and gather data requirements.Implement advanced data quality checks to ensure data integrity and monitoring.Optimize data processes for efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Oversee data security and compliance measures to protect sensitive information.Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance data infrastructure.Provide technical expertise and leadership for critical data projects.Required Skills & Experience:3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, and data visualizationexploration tools.Experience with R, Jupyter, andor Synapse notebooks is preferred.Familiarity with the Azure ecosystem, specifically Data Factory and Synapse.Proficiency in designing and building complex data pipelines and data processing systems.Leadership and mentorship capabilities to foster skill development and best practices within the team.Strong expertise in data modeling and database design for optimal performance.Experience in optimizing data processes and infrastructure for efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Knowledge of data governance principles, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL, andor Snowflake.Expertise in implementing robust data security measures and access controls.Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and defining data requirements.Benefits:Medical insuranceVision insuranceDental insurance401(k)Childcare supportPaid maternity leavePaid paternity leaveCommuter benefitsDisability insurance
